The Beijing sub-centre will be located in the Tongzhou district. It covers an area of 155 km2, of which six km2 alone are for administration. The aim is to ensure access to employment, education, care, social facilities and housing. Resource conservation also plays a major role. Overall, the aim is to create a society that is both entrepreneurial and worth living in.
The stone curtain facades of the new government buildings were installed with slab anchors. This is because they are earthquake-proof and can be easily replaced and calibrated. Fischer was selected as the supplier of the plate anchors. The planners have confidence in the brand because it enjoys a very good reputation worldwide due to its product and service quality.
In addition, the fischer ACT SytemTec products are approved in Germany and abroad – for example by the European ETA or the CE mark. An independent testing body in China also performed tests for earthquake safety, pull-out and shear tests, chemical analysis and neutral salt spray tests. As the design continued to take shape, fischer worked with the facade engineers to carry out mechanical tests. As a result, the products meet each individual tender requirement. The anchors allowed the curtain facade to be mounted securely and firmly to the substructure, so that the stone remained stable even under wind pressure and earthquakes.
