Fischer strengthens gigantic century-old construction in China

Fischer strengthens gigantic century-old construction in China
The Beijing sub-centre will be located in the Tongzhou district. It covers an area of 155 km2, of which six km2 alone are for administration. The aim is to ensure access to employment, education, care, social facilities and housing. Resource conservation also plays a major role. Overall, the aim is to create a society that is both entrepreneurial and worth living in.

The stone curtain facades of the new government buildings were installed with slab anchors. This is because they are earthquake-proof and can be easily replaced and calibrated. Fischer was selected as the supplier of the plate anchors. The planners have confidence in the brand because it enjoys a very good reputation worldwide due to its product and service quality.

In addition, the fischer ACT SytemTec products are approved in Germany and abroad – for example by the European ETA or the CE mark. An independent testing body in China also performed tests for earthquake safety, pull-out and shear tests, chemical analysis and neutral salt spray tests. As the design continued to take shape, fischer worked with the facade engineers to carry out mechanical tests. As a result, the products meet each individual tender requirement. The anchors allowed the curtain facade to be mounted securely and firmly to the substructure, so that the stone remained stable even under wind pressure and earthquakes.
The fischer Zykon plate anchor FZP II is suitable for higher load-bearing and fracture loads than conventional systems as well as for high dynamic loads. Invisible from the outside, it enables installation in natural stone without expansion pressure. FZP II anchors are mounted individually in each plate, after which each of them carries its own load independently. This eliminates the risk of undetermined voltages caused by connections. The fischer Zykon plate anchor FZP II is made of stainless steel (A4). The fischer FZA undercut anchor was used for the undercut fastening of the facade panels. The positive-locking installation without expansion pressure enables high load transfer at a low depth, small edge and axis distances and flexible use.

“The special mission, the short delivery times and the high number of orders made the project a major challenge for us,” summarises Zhang Yisong, Sales Manager at fischer China. "That’s why we’ve prepared all areas of the company to work together seamlessly and smoothly. This means that sales, technology, logistics, quality control and other necessary stations interact seamlessly."

The project manager was impressed by the professional support provided by the fischer technical team: "The fisher application engineers helped us for a month to create the drill holes and fixing implantations on the stone slabs. They offered training, advice and always the right solution for the correct processing of the plate anchors." This ensured the quality of the construction work.
