Taking responsibility for the future – a matter that’s always been important to us in the development of our new products. After all, when it comes to protecting the environment and occupational safety, there can be no room for compromise.
That’s why we launched the world’s first injection mortar with an innovative formula classified as label-free in 2021 with our FIS V Zero universal mortar. A milestone in product development, it also confirms our continued focus on aspects such as sustainability and ultimate safety for people and the environment.
Freedom or safety in construction – do we have to make a choice? Our answer to this question has always been firmly anchored: No!
We’re demonstrating this through our digital solutions for monitoring all types of buildings in real time, thereby shaping the future of the construction industry. Our mission is to continue to make the world safer through clever innovations. Our fischer SensorAnchor provides maximum data transparency by transferring the preload and operational forces in real time. fischer SensorDisc helps continuously monitor and document conventional screw connections through innovative NFC technology.
The future belongs to renewable products. That’s why we laid the foundations for a green and sustainable approach to construction several years ago with the biobased fixing systems of our fischer Greenline. All of the products of the innovative range consist of at least 50 per cent renewable resources.
With six different plugs and the FIS GREEN two-component injection mortar, you can master a variety of applications in concrete or masonry with the same high level of performance.
The fischer ProcessSystem has been revolutionising the way we work for almost 20 years. Every day, we work across departments to streamline our processes, eliminate waste and use resources efficiently. We create added value for our customers and our company through continuous improvement and lean methods. We’re now represented by 51 subsidiaries in 39 countries and export our products and system solutions to over 120 countries. To put this into perspective, our first branches outside of Germany were established in France and Brazil in 1961.
This development proves that the course of internationalisation initiated by company owner Professor Klaus Fischer is constantly paying off. More countries are set to follow. We’re excited to see where the future will take us next.
As a Group of Companies, we’re committed to our social responsibility and continuously optimise our processes and products in order to do our bit for an environmentally sustainable future. That’s why we’re especially proud to have been presented with the GREEN BRANDS AWARD last year. Marc-Sven Mengis, Managing Director of Human Resources, Sustainability and Building Management, and Christian Ziegler, Managing Director of Sustainability, Environment and Energy, look back on our successful involvement: “GREEN BRANDS puts our sustainable activities to the test. Because it is such a prestigious and meaningful award, we are all the more pleased with our outstanding performance. It also helps us set a benchmark for further developments.”
We have stood for progress and quality leadership for over 75 years. Our unwavering determination to look ahead and surpass ourselves has made us what we are today – a globally recognised market leader.
We owe our success to our ability to continuously adapt to the dynamic demands of the economy, as we don’t look to the past, but to the future, with all its challenges and opportunities.
No two construction projects are the same. When it comes to sustainability, there is an endless supply of new and unique challenges to overcome. For us, future-oriented construction is always a combination of an aesthetic appearance, lasting safety and high standards in terms of sustainability and climate control.
The commercial and residential Downtown One tower in the Albanian capital of Tirana is just one of many successful examples. Its rear-ventilated rainscreen facade was expertly carried out with the help of fischer’s FZP II undercut anchors. The thermally and energetically optimised building envelope now has the advantage of a long service life with low maintenance and highly recyclable components.
When it comes to fastenings that are both safe and practical, we’ve always come up with ground-breaking solutions. Just like Jürgen Klopp, we love innovative thinking. Whatever construction material you’re working with, be it concrete, masonry or timber – we’ll support you with our wide range of products and our expertise.
Thanks to the knowledge we have gained over decades, we offer a unique 360-degree service tailored to your individual fastening requirements, with features and system solutions ranging from planning to documentation.
Over the past 75 years, we’ve been able to support extraordinary construction projects around the entire world with fischer products. These projects included La Grande Arche, the arc of triumph in the French commune of Puteaux near Paris. At 110.9 metres in height, the structure also serves as the headquarters of the French Trade and Transport Ministry. Our aim is to make the projects of the future possible in the first place with the help of our fixing and system solutions!
At approx. 55 kilometres in length, the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge was opened in 2018 and has since been known as the world’s longest sea crossing! fischer supplied chemical and mechanical fixing systems for multiple buildings on Zhuhai Island Port. That’s not as simple as it sounds, as the entire structure has to withstand heavy earthquakes, high winds, lots of moisture and corrosion through salty sea mist.
Did you know, that many of our products, including the fischer FAZ II bolt anchor, our FIS V injection mortars, and the FIS EM Plus, were installed in the Statue of Unity, completed in western India in 2018? Together with its plinth, the statue boasts a height of 240 metres, making it the tallest of its kind and approximately twice as tall as New York’s Statue of Liberty.
A symbol of hope and strength was built in the form of the first emergency bivouac for locals and climbers in Nepal’s Rolwaling region, at an altitude of 5080 metres in the Himalayas, where survival is a daily challenge. Our FIS SB High Speed injection mortar and the robust M20 threaded anchor played a significant part in firmly anchoring the ‘legs’ of the David Lama bivouac into the rock.
The impressive new Landsbankinn building was built in Reykjavík. Our custom undercut anchors and substructure systems not only offer a secure solution for the heavy basalt stone facade, they also withstand the challenging wind and weather conditions in Reykjavík’s harbour.
